To create a pair of sneakers, the hardest part is finding the sole. For what ?
Because to assemble a sneaker, you need “form packs”, these are wooden feet that imitate our foot shape, you need them for each size.
This shape pack must fit perfectly into the sole otherwise the entire assembly of the sneaker is wobbly.
A fitness pack costs 4 000€ if we want to go from 36 to 46. This is why at IKO&NOTT, we started with sizes 35 to 41. It was not discrimination, but just impossibility financial to be able to make all sizes.
Today, we found a fitness pack for our collection Astreos .
We are very proud of it.
Our sole is made of recycled plastic , with visible plastic flakes .
The plastic being visible, you can find more or less glitter, and of all the colors, we do not choose. Your sole is therefore unique and completely recycled.
If we had wanted a completely white sole, we would have had to add coloring. Which is contrary to what we want, a basketball as ethical and comfortable as possible!
